In my case, we split up 2 years ago, she's a million miles away now and has hooked up with someone new. We still keep in touch.
Never thought about it much till recently but occasionally think "what if..."

Wondering what experiences others have had.

I've had similar thoughts about my ex fiance, the mother of my little girl. Albeit small scale thoughts. But, I really feel there is not just one person out there.

Do what you think is best. You could easily forget things and move on. Or, you could face the tough task of patching things up and replacing her new guy. That would be tough and the chances are slim for a pleasant result.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Sometimes it takes time apart to realize how much you want to be together. However, if it doesn't look like she is coming back to town, or breaking up with her new SO, I would try to live and let live. There are so many other people out there for you to connect with... you'll regret it if you waste your life away on "what ifs".

I would never think of getting back with my ex. He is an "ex" for a reason just as your ex is an ex for a reason.

You can not dwell in the past and wonder "what if". The past is the past and it cannot be changed.

2 years ago, a million miles away, let it go. I know what you mean been there but let it go.

How can some one be the one if you already had them and they are hooked up with another. Obviously they don't see you as the one.
