"Who, What, When, Where and Why"
WHY is by far the most important part of any story. "WHY" is the word on which all Science, Mathmatics, Art, Philosophy, and durn near everything else are based. We would be nowhere without WHY. WHY is what separates us from the lower animals, pathetic creatures who look up at the stars and never wonder WHY are they there? WHY cant I reach them someday?
More than meets the eye? It IS the eye, the seer and the seen. WHY is everything. All other questions mean nothing compared to WHY.

Depends on the extent to which the word 'why' does indeed meet your eye. In other words, what do you mean?

If you meant "than meets the eye", my answer is no because why is simple - it's an adverb used to formulate a question.
If you meant "then meets the eye" - well I'm bamboozled

Absolutely - it's the reason for a lot of things. Although I hate it when young kids aged 3 - 5 ask why about everything lol.
