okay this is an answer if we were in the late 80s early 90s. id say guns n roses because they didnt have to have anything special about them to get peoples' attention. come on motley crue had to wear makeup and put pentagrams on their drumsets even though they werent satanic or anything. i think that axl is the only member of the group that i dislike the most. but slash was an amazing guitar player. yeah hes not a complete shredderholic like some people, but there is so much emotion in his guitar playing. i think that was kind of inspired by blues. but damn , guns n roses did their own thing, while motley crue just wanted fame and fortune.

Motley Crue. They were badass. They were an original hairband.
They are the definetion of what you thiink a metal band is. They partied hard got in fights made sex tapes and awesome music.

Thats a toss up. In their day I'd say Guns n Roses. Now I would say Motley Crew cause you don't hear Guns n Roses much anymore.
