My wife is 32 years old and two years ago underwent a partial hystorectomy due to endometriosis. Recently she has been describing hormone shifts and extreme changes in temperature. Is it possible that she could be starting menopause? Please forgive my spelling if it's off

She could be starting menopause, did they remove both ovaries or her uterus? She needs to see a spec. and get hormone replacement meds.
good luck

I went through induced menopause (so I get to enjoy it twice) as part of fertility treatments so I know all about the temp changes and mood swings. Brace yourself... I know I wasn't easy to live with! Best gift for her right now would be a portable fan. The hot flashes make it feel like you suddenly have a high fever - or have accidentally stepped into an oven. I also got night sweats and had to change my sheets sometimes. Everything evened out for me after they stopped the treatment and my hormones got back to normal; I don't know much about hormone replacement therapy but that's something to discuss with the Dr.

Early menopause is a symptom of a partial hysterectomy, but even pre or peri menopause brings on the symptoms. Ask her how old she was when she started her period; if she was an early starter her symptoms may not be early, but right on target.

Although they say that it does not effect the hormone levels, it certainly does giving rise to the effect similar to menopause. You can get HRT (hormone replacement therapy) in pill form or patches but there is currently a debate whether or not it makes takers prone to heart trouble. Speak to your doctor........

It's possible that she's going through menopause, but there is the chance it could be something else. She should make an appt to see her gynecologist ASAP.

Hopefully it won't be anything major.

i CAN relate to your situation! my wife went through the similar surgery ; she told me that women do go through menopause when they get to a certain age. if she is, just give her space and time. we can only imagine what they are going through. also be by her side when she needs you. i know that you can handle it! take care!!!!!!

I would say that would do it.

Take up golf and get out of the house for awhile.
