Well, being a girl myself, I've come up with a theory. It's pretty much common sense when you think about it but it's not something most people think about very often.
In the first stages of a relationship, guys are always trying to put their best foot forward. Of course, they do this because it works and it's not what a girl wants, and I honestly don't blame them. But, the guy you meet on the first date or see for the next few months is not the real person. Eventually that wears off and the girl realizes he's really not what she wants at all, so she changes her mind.
Now, almost every girl I know would tell you that she wants a guy who's real and doesn't try to be someone he's not, yet most girls wouldn't even give a guy a chance if he didn't come across as the greatest guy ever at first. Which basically means, most guys don't have a chance until they find a girl who likes him for himself and is willing to put up with his faults.
This is crazy, I know, but it's true....

we all have flexible minds one way or the other. There are so many forces responsible for this from trivial to significant. However, since everybody obeys his/her heart it is difficult to know. One can only depend on intuition which may make one to conclude that it may be quest for variety.

There are situations which make us change our minds, its not just a wham, bam, think back to things that are said or done and you'll probably figure it out.
