I've been on this site for a few months on and off. I don't know any of you, yet I find myself caring. So different from my real world experiences. Anyone can help, even the cruel answers( they make me laugh )

none of us has had a chance to piss you off personally, in stark contrast to your real world mates. we are what we are, a pleasant (hopefully) diversion for you. you get to know us on your terms, and that fact endears us to you bit by bit. you get to know about us little by little, and we develop a persona that you can become familiar with, again on your terms. even the cruel ones here don't hurt quite as much as a mean remark made right to your face by a local yokel, do they?

you care because of who you are. maybe you care because we HAVEN'T met. good people do good things. i think you'd feel badly if you didn't develop an affinity for your fellow answerers. it's in you.

Yes. Sometimes it is a refreshing change from the people who surround you. They tend to bind you with their expectations and their repetitive responses to your actions. They expect you to work, to clean the house, to take care of some things. Then they take you for granted. People have their schedules. On here, as nowhere else, I am free to reinvent myself, to play around, to blow off steam, to take the time to help a stranger if I can. I feel useful and appreciated, when in real life I often feel my talents and efforts are taken for granted.
I am not limited here and you can't pigeon-hole me. You don't know me, so you have not forgotten that I was really quite smart and beautiful when I was younger. My bizarre sense of humor doesn't bother you, and if it does, so what? You can cheer me up by saying something funny and stupid. Thank you.

I think we care because we all want to be connected somehow and have people validate our existence. And the anonymity that the site provides may allow you to be more open than when you are out in the real world with more defenses in place.

its just that in are hearts we all want to help, but some times due to some cruel returns we too become stonehearted. its bcoz we xpect people to treat us the way we want to treat them but this does not always happen.just be helpful whenever u can, it does not hurt to help does it?
