Were all 3speed manual trannys the same from 1960-1980?Would a 64c-10 truck use the same speedo gear as vette?

speedometer gear in my 64 chevy truck 3 speed tranny is spripped and all I can really find raedily are restoration parts for vettes and camaros.

No, all 3 speed trannys fron 60-80 are not the same. But the c64-10 truck and the vette have the same speedo gear.

The ratio of the speedo gear depends on the rear end gear not the tranny gear. It is driven by the drive shaft output shaft so its speed depends on the rear end not the gears in the transmission. Hope I have been helpful.

They would work, but its not the same.
