If you get a rush when you stand up, it may be your blood pressure. These headaches also can be caused by low blood sugar. Both need to be diagnosed by your Dr.
As a longtime migraine sufferer, I know some things that work - sometimes. Try a hit - a REAL hit - of caffeine; I make a black coffee with 2 tsp of instant to 1 c. of water and drink it hot. Also try aromatherapy with Rosemary, if you're into that, or Tiger Balm applied to the temples (although it's kind of smelly.) Cold compresses on the head help too. And if you're really lucky, you may simply need to drink more water - dehydration causes rushing headaches too.
The most common allergies that cause migraine headaches are: nuts, pork products, wine/beer, chocolate, bananas and aged cheese. Try eliminating these for a while. And when it comes right down to it, Aspirin is nothing more than the bark of the Willow tree - and has been used for thousands of years. Don't feel bad about taking the occasional aspirin.

Head aches are a sign of something else wrong in the body, go to a Dr, and if he discovers there is nothing the matter try relaxing. Could be just stress. Another thing get your eyes tested you may need glasses. Get some Melatoin and try and get more sleep. You can get it at the drugstore or health food store or online. I use 'SleepSense' for stress and no more headaches.
The Dr. says I am in great health.

1. Lay down, relax and listen to music. Try relaxation techniques. You might be able to get one from your local library.
2. Try rubbing methol oil (like what is in vick's vaper rub) on your forehead.
3. Ice pack
4. Find out what causes the headache and try to prevent it's onset. (Aggravation, Husband/Kids, Food Allergy, Drinking, etc.)
5. Check your house for allergins - mold, dustmites, cats, etc.

Pressure poin tstimulation...massage the temples or teh spot between your thumb and pointign finger. These re good for relievening tension headaves. Good neck rubs will do the smae, realxing teh muscles leadsing to the haed.
Accupuncture is amazing and has provided great results for me

Sometimes when I get migranes I put a cool wet wash clothe over my eyes and let the cold sink in so in a dark room with no noise.

Remove the following: wheat, dairy, soy, corn, junk food, hydrogenated oils, DIET SODAS, restaurant food (contains MSG!), and start eating organically. Do a detox, using milk thistle and psyllium husk powder. This is the only real solution.

The best way is to divert your attention,after some time you will not feel any headache.there will not be any need to take any pill.But if you are habitual to take pills then it will take some time,before it works on you.
