no its not ok its not ok for anyone to lie but the older I get the more I realize most people are liars now. The better question is what do we do about it? People always say get out and vote. Sometimes I don't vote because I'd be choosing between whose the biggest liar. Maybe someday someone will figure out what to do with our lying government. Maybe it will be you.

Of course not. Of course government should get punished but when the government is run by Republicans, it's okay for them to lie.

Depends, some information like, " Where are all the U.S. missle silos located at ? " yes , in that case . However in some cases like " where are the lower taxxes, why are weallowing Illegals in the country, what are the red stains on her dress from, or why are wefighting in Iraq. then the answer would be " NO " ...
The goverment is not under the correct checks and balances, makes one wonder if the republicans and democrats are not working togeather to keep the American population at each others throat to get their way with us .

I guess you need to be more specific. Former President Clinton lied under oath and lost his license to practice law. He was also impeached for lying in trying to cover up his sexual harassment of an employee. President Nixon tried to cover up Watergate and was forced to resign.
Please tell me how the government has lied to you. The news media, such as Dan Rather from CBS and the New York Times, lie to you everyday. What do you think of their abuse of the First Amendment?

Sociology's conflict theory: those in power make up and control the rules. So start working for the government and make some changes around here.

I believe that we are lied to all the time - by our governments, by the media, in literature and history as well. I just saw a documentary on Global Warming on the TV and they stated that when Lief Erikkson arrived in Greenland it was a green land, not ice and snow as it is today. In history I learned that he named the island Greenland as a joke!

No, it's certainly is not OK. So, it's a good thing that the government isn't and hasn't lied to us, right? Y'know, even as you people continue to act like they do and/or lie yourselves.

Have you stretched the truth. Don't lie. We all have. Is it so bad that the government has secrets that we don't need to now about to fight our enemy's.It's better to have secrets that we can fight our enemy's with, than let them just take advantage of us

We need to overhaul our government so it has some accountability. One politician is as bad as another. I belonged to a union and we had some problems with a few of our officers, so we threatened to fire them all unless they cleaned up their act. They did.
