First there was George Reeve, Superman of the 1950's, who was quite scandalous in his desire to become famous (new movie coming out in the fall called "Hollywoodland" depicting his life story and mysterious death). Then came Chris Reeve, incredibly handsome, tall and well trained physically. He made Superman the true fictional hero he deserved to be. Chris Reeve was Superman and I do not believe that he could ever be replaced. The only area of improvement would be special effects. God rest his soul.

I don't think the new one is going to beat him because Christohper Reeve paved the way for the new Superman movie, but I believe people will watch it to see if there are any similarities and also to give respect to the original Superman.

In the first place, it can't beat him because he's dead.
And besides, why would you want to beat a cripple?
That's just wrong!
