Did they mate? Just hopping on and trying doesn't count. When dogs mate they actually get stuck together until a full semen deposit is made - anywhere between 5 and 45 minutes can be usual. If they did mate, the deposited semen will only live for 2 days inside the female so it needs to have happened with 2 days of ovulation. Again if these conditions were in line, you'd probably know in about 5 weeks - full term is 9 weeks (60 days) good luck....

If you don't want puppies, then take her to the vets, he can give her a 'morning after' injection, then she wont have any puppies. Have you really thopugh about how expensive and time consuming it is to look after puppies, even though the mother looks after them, you ahve to look after her, give her special foods while she is expecting, extra calcium etc and when the pusppies are weaned then they have to have special food and extra calcium and vitamins. It is an expensive business, and you won't make any money when you sell them as the money you make will have been swallowed up in looking after them.

She will immediately go out of season. Then get her spayed because there are too many unwanted puppies sitting in the shelters.

Dogs usually get "tied" (rump to rump) together for a short time after mating. Otherwise within 9 weeks you should see your dog showing if indeed pregnant.

wtf...how is this a relationship question or a family even? Ther's a section called pets you know? BTW, a male dog is a "sire" not a boyfriend.... Sounds a bit strange....but that's my interpretation of this situation...

Don't risk having puppies that you don't want.
The vet can give her a couple of injections equivalent to the morning after pill.
Do it now, and don't regret it later.

you can't tell right away and I don't think there is an early pregnancy test for animals. She'll begin to show in a couple of weeks, I would think.
