We went last year for 9 days, so we only stayed in London. When I was a girl, I traveled around England with my mother for a month one summer. We went to a lot of places, but not to the north. My husband has a cousin who lives in Wales, but we didn't see her on the last trip. I want to go back and travel all over, including the north and Scotland, but my husband doesn't want me to drive a car there. It's really not a problem, since I have driven on the left side (English style) a number of times, but he says I tried to kill him in Barbados on our honeymoon. This is ridiculous! He can't drive well enough to do it. So I told him we would go and I would drive out from London. Maybe he could take the train to Oxford, and would feel better about driving with me there. We aren't rich enough to hire a driver.

I have been to London. I am in the US Navy, and I went on a detchment to France. We had 3 days off, so we took some train through the channel, went and saw London. Two weeks later we flew into Scotland, Edinborough area, and we had a blast. I wish I could afford my own vaction there, I want to tour the whole lot of the country.

And how many tourists from the UK get beyond New York or Florida.

Even when I used to travel to San Francisco a lot I rarely met another Brit.

pretty old looking to me, the fish and beans were not a good combination, and there were way to many pigeons, other than that I enjoyed the Caribbean carnival in August, as well as the weather, I enjoyed the Grey days, I lived in Brightlingsea for a year
