getting chosen for the best answer is usually the best way, since you get 5 times as many points as just answering a question.

Answering. The best percentage I ever saw for answers selected was 10% and that is tough to attain (I flutter between 4 and 5%).
I can squeeze out loads of two points long before I nail a ten.
