As elections in the USA are largely bought, whichever candidate that can raise the most funds by promising their allegiance to big business will be put forward by their party, and the most corrupt candidate from the two parties will have raised the most funds, and will produce the biggest campaign to discredit his opponent, and will be elected president.
A government of the people, by the people, and for the people, I think not.

AMEN BROTHER! You forgot one thing though...it helps if you come from a rich family, have a brother in a state that "hangs chads" for you (fixes the election) and you lie to a nation about your spiritual beliefs.
Yes, God HELP America...hopefully soon.

Have you witnessed such actions? Or have you just heard about it second hand from someone else (who could have heard from someone else and so on and so on)? Or are you just speculating what they do? Don't be so quick to criticze. And why does having the most funds mean the most corrupt? Money does not corrupt people; it reveals their character.
Also presidents are elected through the electoral college which usually bases it's votes on the majority of popular votes of the state they represent.

i imagine that once you're making it to place of work, you should take delivery of understand. possibly no longer a uncommon quantity of understand, yet try to be dealt with decently. God--i'd hate to be able like that--I felt terrible for Bush. His call became dragged by the dirt--like many presidents earlier him whose 'reign' became for the period of a difficult time. and persons look to imagine the president has this endless capacity--that each and every thing takes position as therefore of his moves, and that he on my own has the capacity to make huge alterations. And if we do not see those alterations, it -could- be his fault. This concept leads to extra disrespect even as their hopes are not met--besides the undeniable fact that that is unrealistic to anticipate that the president, on my own, can restoration this us of a's complications. EDIT: real--i don't think of he could were elected a second time period, and we could consistently have pulled the troops -years- in the past. i do not help forcing our lifestyle on those of others; that is boastful to anticipate we promptly comprehend a thanks to run others' international places better than they do. yet I do trust he became what we needed for the first 6 months to a 12 months after 9/11. and that i think i'd particularly him be elected than Kerry.

This is to the idiot that thinks "we vote":
We don't vote.
Our vote is SUPPOSED to influence our govorners and congressman but it usually doesn't. The only two states I recall that their vote actually counts as something are Maine and Nebraska.
I just took government last year, so you can't tell me any differently. You can also look it up. Show me something with substance and I'll kiss a pig if you can prove me wrong. But I know our votes don't count worth a sh.it.
And you're right, God help america.

My spouse ran for office several years ago. On election day, the Election Supervisor went to lunch, then the radio station called for elections update wherein the clerk gaveupdates from computer accounts. The votes recorded and announced at NOON were exactly the same numbers announced at the END of the day. IT WAS ALL REPROGRAMMED!!! I can't go into detail for fear of reprisal...BUT I'LL NEVER VOTE AGAIN...PERSONAL EXPERIENCE ......A SETUP AND A SCAM.
And you are right...GOD HELP AMERICA!

The president is elected by electors, one for each representative, so around 530 of them, who meet after the election to cast their ballots for president. Though electors are supposed to vote for the candidate who "wins" their state or their percentage of the state, in fact electors are free to vote for anyone they want. So the general effect is that around 500 people vote for president. All the other votes are votes for these 500 people. And, of course, you are right, there's rampant fraud and corruption in the election process.
As for God helping America, I rather think he/she/or it gave u in disgust a long time ago. America is beyond help.

they are buying votes with jobs government employs 35% of the population and another 10 benifit directly from this so it is hard for working people who actualy pay taxes to elect responcible politicians.Defense contractors and all there employees work for the government and here are the rest .prison guards and admin contractors who build them .school teachers and state colleges are funded too and there admin.police fire parks and recreation busses garbage collection city employees .and so on.
WITH THIS MANY PEOPLE COLLECTING A WELFARE CHECK FROM UNCLE SAM IT IS HARD FOR THE REST OF US TO GET RESPONCIBLE GOVERNMENT GOING TILL EVERYONE IS OF THE PAYROLL.
