I remember in Fast Times at Ridgemont High she looked hot in that swimming pool scene where Brad Hamilton (Judge Reinhold) was having a fantasy and jerking off to her taking her bikini top off next to the pool--and then his sister walked in on him in the bathroom--that was so funny! Probably best known for her role in the 1982 movie, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," last I heard Phoebe opened a gift shop in New York last year. She'll be 43 on the 16th of this month (July), and she's probably hotter now. Here's a link to an interview she did last month:

In 1989, Phoebe married Oscar-winning actor Kevin Kline (A Fish Called Wanda), and had a cameo appearance in his 1990 film, I Love You to Death. She was soon pregnant with a son, Owen, who was born October 14th, 1991. A daughter, Greta, was born on March 21st, 1994. Not surprisingly, Phoebe's acting output slowed: After starring in Princess Caraboo (1994) with Kline, she went into semi-retirement from films to raise their children. However, she returned in 2001 with a role in The Anniversary Party.
Lately, Cates and her family divide their time between a country estate in upstate New York and a luxury penthouse in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Have no idea what happened to her. I remember her doing a movie called Drop Dead Fred as well. She has to be in her forties now, but that does not preclude her from still being hot. I doubt seriously that she was a porn star before becoming a legitimate actress. She was very young when she began doing "real" movies.

i know she married a movie executive, i cant remember if he was a producer or a director, i seen him on the david letterman show many years ago and he as talking about his marriage with her. he is probably very wealthy and didnt want her in the spotlight anymore, getting hit on by other men. cant blame him on that. if i was with a hottie like phoebe i would want her to myself also. and i seriously doubt she ever did any porn. not on film anyway. i just read the other answers, thats right the person that said her husband is kevin kline. i thought it was a movie exec but i guess i was wrong. but actors do also produce and direct. look at ron howard or john travolta. and it was phoebe who walked in on him in the bathroom, not his sister

she lives in ln.y.with her husband Kevin Kline they have several kids,their son owen was in The squid and the Whale,it was a great movie and he has been getting great reviews for his work.sounds like Phoebe had her priorities straight and raised her kids,i saw a picture of her recently and she still looks great!!!

She sold her soul to the devil by marrying an ugly Kevin Kline who is 15 years older than her. He promptly demanded his hottie wife no longer do movies. I guess the thought of his wife on the casting couch was too much to bear.
