I'm an Italian supporter, happy to won Ukraine, but I remember WC since '78 so I perfectly know as you feel.
I need to point it out Ukraine has gone far.
They experienced a shocking first match score with Spain, but react well and earn 2nd place in their group. They pulled out Switzerland, reaching quarters when the same Spain, Holland, Mexico, Sweden failed this goal.
They were pulled out at quarters, as BRAZIL, ARGENTINA, ENGLAND were too!!!
So I guess be ranked between 5 - 8 place in the world is a great goal for a team who play its first WC...
I know, it's sad anyway, but let you be more proud!

Not at all. Ukraine played terribly. Their win in shoot-outs vs Switzerland was pure luck. They played like little girls against the Italians. They barely got 1 shot on net. All their shots were from outside the box. Ukraine didn't deserve to win, and no, nobody is sad that Ukraine's out. Sorry Buddy.

I am sad too, I am from Central America and my team was Argentina from south America, but Ukraine did a great job, I am sorry for Schevshenko too

i am .. but they got pretty far anyway. ok but seriously how can anybody think italy is going to win world cup?? i say no way. ye they are good but not good enough. even if a miracle happens and they win i would feel like they dont deserve it. they should have been out after the australia game. but anyway you can only expect so much from a first timer like ukraine. yes they didnt play very good but they didnt suck eather.

having made their first appearance in the finals, reaching the quarter-finals will probably the best results for some teams, for UKRAINE, this is their moment of glory, never mind losing to ITALY. they have recovered well from their opening match defeat against SPAIN 4-0 & they have achieved their target.
