why on my xp pc, the screen saver don't work when i listen songs on window media player?

This behavior occurs because Windows Media Player suspends the timers for the screensaver and power management, to prevent interruption of media playback.

The ScreenSaver only appears when system is IDLE.

It is maybe because your playing something or u kept the screen saver to come for a very long time..

Simple; the machine is not idle - it's doing something. Screen savers come on when the machine is idle.
