Actually you can go the same like you go to school - to me this is an informal event and nothing to dress up.

Clean and tidy would do it, and comfortable to sit there the whole evening as well as to perhaps move around a little.

I'm living in Switzerland since ever... ;-)

BTW: What are you doing here in Switzerland? Send an e-mail if you like - starttoATwriteme.com

Well, seeing as I am one that loves to dress up and match whether I'm going out to a fancy dinner or staying in for dinner...I would go from nice pants to a nice dress for anything. If you live in a southern climate I would wear a sundress. If you live up in the northern area and it's cool outside I would wear some nice pants and maybe a button-up shirt with a cute sweater vest type shirt over it. Even if it is extremely casual, I would go for something a little more dressy just to feel cute and comfortable!

Good luck!

Well, my English teacher did invite his whole class to his wedding. So if your teacher invited you and your class to dinner, then it's no big deal. I would wear something nice and formal. Perhaps black pants with a nice top or if you're a female, then perhaps a nice skirt.

For the 4th? Something cool and comfortable: a cute shorts set or gauchos. If it's not for the holiday but just another day, same thing. I wouldn't go too casual, but I tend to overdress.

Dress in something comfortable, but dressy. Don't feel like you have to go in this gown. Dress in some nice slacks or a skirt and a polo shirt

Wear what you'd wear shopping with your mom or aunt, or else what you'd wear to a graduation or confirmation party.

IOW, something festive, casual, and personal, but not too revealing/sexy or dressy/formal. You want to do two things: show respect for the host & show your classmates your personal style - so depending on what you normally wear to school, either something less formal/more personal, or something less casual/more festive.
