football to the rest of world is the same as soccer to the united states. however, the united states has football...but thats a completely different game....and definitely not as good.

soccer= u use a soccer ball and kick it with your feet to score a goal (u can;t use your hands)
There's a country I don't remember where. But football to them is soccer to the U.S.
American football=I guess would be defined as throwing a football long distances to try and get a touch down.
Hope I helped more than confused. I'm not into sports too much so IDK any other way to describe them

Football is football for the entire world except USA that call it soccer.
This sport was created by the English people...
As they are creators of the sport and they are the first to speak english, so I think they are right.

Football is same with soccer. football is called football in england and most of the cuntry,but the americans and australians called it soccer, because they used word "football" for american football(america) or rugby (australia)

using hands....running while holding the ball...having an endzone...wearing pads and a helmet...hitting each other to stop plays...individualized planned plays...4 quarters
and...american's are the only ones to call the above listed version football...for somereason a game that rarely uses it's feet is called football...I think we needed to find a better name for it
