I find guys of every race attractive, but that doesn't seem to be common among gay men. It seems (anecdotally) to be more common among lesbians. Why?

It also seems more common among straight people

Lesbian, Gay, or Straight. I feel great about it! I really don't mind interracial dating. I think its beautiful when people can express their feelings and not bow to the status que placed on us by society. People forget the culture of america and so it seems, there isn't what they would describe a "problem" with this situation, They choose not to address it, well the "problem" is people being color blind, to the specifics of the word, BLIND TO THE COLORS AROUND YOU. They are unwilling to accept them and hence they are not there or you are blind to them. I don't believe in color blindness, its ignorance, it needs to change, be aware of the wonderous variety around you and accept it. I Think its extremly interesting to learn about other people's ways of life. I think its really sad that people of any race can simply 'dis' others becuase they are of any color.

I have a similar experience. I'm woman and I'm Married. My husband has a gay friend that live in a big property. We often visit him and "being" friends. I tolerate gay people since I met him because he is nice as a person. But getting closer as we get more he show the affection to my husband. He's around 50's. And me and my husband treated him like a family friend. But I can't tolerate he's being touchy to my husband. Especially when he grabbed my husband's penis and stuff!! I told him that don't like him doing that. Personally, Every time he did that he said "Oops sorry can't help it because I'm gay". Me and my husband already told him that we don't like that but he seems doesn't care what I feel by doing such things. Now my nerves already up to my head and I couldn't stand it anymore to tolerate it. Am I being too sensitive or is this a kind of harrasment covered by friendship?

I've seen quite a few interracial male couples so maybe it the area you live in. At any rate males always seem to be more particular and less accepting about their partners. Lesbians and women in general are usually more open to the emotional side rather than looks or race or financial status.

I don't know why that is, I notice it at times myself. My theory is that men, sometimes, are the last to accept a thing. Maybe for the same reason some heterosexual men are unable to have gay friends-and I say some, because I know a lot of guys who are uncomfortable by the thought-maybe some gay men stick to what they know best, and what they know best is inside their own race. It's kind of hard to explain without offending anyone, so I'll stop right here.

Hi I'm Garry,

Look it's sinful being gay male or female..

Simply because god made two genders, in other words if it was okay to be gay then there would only be one, three or even four genders on earth!!

Look I'll give you a simple example.. virginity!!!why do you think it exists.. it's because every girl should save it for the one she Merry's so in that fact it's even sinful to sleep with a girl with out marrying her.. so going back to Gaye's no doubt it is pure sin.. but look at the Bright side, god is the most forgiving and you won't spend the rest of you time in hell after death.. only certain actions enables you eternity in hell befriending sayten forever, probably working for him as a servant..

Now I want to give you a very simply example here>>> what goes up most come down!!
So in that fact there will come the day you die since you are alive and there is no doubt you will have to face your Creator for the good and bad you've done in your life=time.

I don't want you to think that I'm being a smart a s s here just passing on my education over to ones that are in need of it... there are more temptations in life then just being gay.. the more you avoid these temptations the more good you've done = white marks marked in your book of life..

Once again please don't take this the wrong way but may god be my witness that this is all true, but I guess you'll never find out UNTILL you face him!!!

Simply wishing you the best of luck,

Garry

At my high school (admittedly, a very limited pool from which to draw one's information) last year, there were 2 guy couples and two girl couples that anyone knew about. Both of the boy pairing were hispanics, and one of the girl couples was hispanic, aside from me and my girlfriend (we're both white). I'm sorry I can't help you with your question, but it seems like maybe
A) guys have more from which to choose, because there are approx. 4 times more gay guys than gay girls in any given population, or
B) girls are not as judgmental or concerned with anything like race, after all, that's what I like about lesbians is that we're aren't shallow and idiotic like straights and gay boys (no offense : ) ).
Have a pleasant day!

I have no clue. Maybe it is because lesbians are the supreme beings of this earth and much more advanced than all others. hehe

Hey Gary... why don't you go to the religious section and not come harrassing gay ppl. We already F..ING know ppl like you are the crude of this earth and want to dictate to everybody else how to live. Ppl like you make me think of violent shyt.

I've worked with MSM for about 10 years, with HIV prevention work. Most white gay men are very open and have family that learn to accept their sons for who they are. In other races life African American, Latino, ect, it is not accepted for their son to be gay. Often it's a struggle for them to come out and date freely. According to several surveys that we conducted.

Anectodally also -- it surely is just as common among gay men here -- but I can't speak for anywhere else.

i think it doesn't have to do anything with being male gay people or straight... interracial dating is a matter of individual and so personal determination.
