Dear Dania B, How awful! I can not imagine anything so hurtful. The only reason I can think of is that he wants to get the point across once and for all (maybe you've missed a hint?) or he needs validation and is pulling a power play by putting you at a disadvantage. In any case, dump this looser from your phsyche immediately. Be perceptive of a young man's comments when you first hook up with him. Pay attention to how he treats other people. Don't rush into what could be a painful situation. Guard your heart. Best to you. FashionPoliceBadge99

Any guy who would stoop to such a low level in order to embarrass his girlfriend is a total loser, and a coward. Little cowardly types always seek a reaction, because inside they are very insecure people.
Unfortunately there are many men like him, who like to embarrass people, they're bullies. And like all bullies inside they are cowards. Small men with even smaller sense of self esteem. It makes them feel big to embarrass others in public places.
I would say that your friend is lucky to be rid of a loser like him. She should have smiled and walked away and thanked her lucky stars. Then bloocked his name from her email account and telephone. He did her a favour and saved this lady from a lifetme of giref if she had stayed with such a loser.

Oh well, I will have to hold my tears, stand strong, and told him calmly that, 'It is about time. I am glad that you initiated the breakup, since I just don't have the heart to hurt your feeling by calling if off first. I am happy that the feeling is mutual, and I hope no bad feelings from our past relation.' Gracefully, I think I have to walk away, still holding in my tears and sorrow. Oh, just the thought make my heart bleed.

Well I would turn it around and make sure everyone new that he or she was worth breaking up with in some way that they would be the ones looking and feeling like crap and then walk off knowing that there is plenty of fish in the sea.

If I had a boyfriend who broke up with me in front of everyone else, I'd be glad he was no longer my boyfriend. He is the type of person who apparently has little consideration for other people's feelings.

I'd probaly slap him then get my revenge by shaming him infront of everyone. He didnt give me enough respect to break up with me quietly so i wont give him any respect by keeping quiet about it. Respect works both ways......

always act normal and don't make it seem like you're upset-if your boyfriend broke up with you in front of everyone, try talking to him online or on the phone so that it's not too awkward.
