I've just moved to my house in a small country village from a town. my house is really clean but I live near a farm, (stinking cow ****) and that's probably the source so I don't think i'll be able to get rid of the source without evoking a massive blow-out with the farmer...
Could those people that suggested items (that all sound good) give me some brand names or the specific names of the objects so I can search on the net for them?
Thank you so much!

You need to find the source~where they are coming from-if there are alot of them there might have been a fly that laid eggs
I use this bag that hangs outside-you fill it with water (1/2 way) and the flies flock to it, they fly in and cant get back out-you might want to try that-it will lure them out of your house and into the bag and trap them
And its only around $3.00!
Good luck
I bought my fly bag at Walmart-its in the garden center

You can buy what looks like one of those toilet block thingy majiggies that hangs from your light it doesn't catch flies but deters them from coming into your kitchen or whatever room you hang it in.
You can also buy a thingy majiggie that plugs into any electric socket and creates an electric field through out your entire home deters other bugs as well as flies.

I had that trouble, I bought a racket from the Ideal home show in London, no I didn`t go I asked about it on the web and they sent me one for £10 but money could not get it from me, it is the most fantastic thing, it works with 2 batteries and kills flies, spiders, and crawly things, it would be worth searching the web for one you will not be disappointed

we used to use a jam jar when i was little. you leave a tiny bit of jam in and fill the jar half way and shake it up in to sticky water then punch holes in the lid from the top and they climb in to get the goo and because the rips face inwards they can't get out so fall in the water and drown. leave a few on the window sills or around and just throw them away when they get too full or smell.

Scrub the whole place down..especially the food prep areas...inspect your window and door screens for holes and repair them. Make sure the screen doors close all the way when someone enters or leaves. Make sure garbage is bagged and sealed and disposed of properly.

Just splat them with a fly swat or tea towel. The best way to get them is from right above them as they don't seem to notice you then.

You're supposed to put water in a ziploc bag & either hang it or sit it on the counter. I'm not sure why this works, but it does. I've seen it.

Identify their source, where they are laying their eggs. Remove or destroy this and you should be able to keep them from your home.
Cleanliness on your property is the first step. Use plenty of detergents and sterilising fluids.

Spray an aerosol behind the flame of a lighter and use it as a flame thrower it will kill them instantly.
