That depends on the severity of their autism. My son currently is in the process of being diagnosed and his councelorsays to make sure that the child is looking at you andthey can repeat back what you say. Children with ADHD and Autism need the touch of attention and in some cases everything needs to be written down for them. The sective hearing part well some cases of autism the child or person cay have hypersenitive hearing. This means they can hear everything but being autistic they also resort to their own little world and block out everything else, this is the reason for touch attention and a little patience.

yes. autism features can be reduced when autistic children grow up when they are treated and helped develop some skills like reading, talking, playing, etc. at a very young age and also much better if its only mild autism.
