ladies in their 40s is this the new 30, or the new 20?

I mean look at ladies in their 40s now and they are so Gorgeous and fit compared to even 20yrs ago. 40yr olds compared to 20 yr olds look younger and def healthier now.

im not being merely physical, in observation. women are younger as well metally, spiritually, sexually so too.

Hi ...I am 52...and look like my later 30's....not wrinkle one. this small picture of me doesn't show all of that but it is the truth. I can't figure out how to change the pic but I will....that pic is me a few months ago at 5 a.m. I am holding up well for my age and there will be some people who bark at me for this answer though it is the truth. I agree with you in your concept of we look, many of us younger than we really are. My children are grown and I haven't stopped ONCE in drinking over a gallon of water a day as well as Green Tea.
Make up has little if nothing to do with it.... it is a change as we are living longer and when we take care of ourselves, we WILL look better.
Yours is a very thoughtful question and perhaps my answer takes you by surprise....however it is the truth!
BTW my boyfriend is over 10 years younger than I am and my children are grown. And so it goes......Congrats to all that this applies to!

True, but I don't think age is as much of a deal. After all it is a number, its what the person wants that shows through. As times are changing women are taking better care of themselves and not wanting to look like the old Norman Rockwell granny.

I'll be 41 next week...and I'd definately say this is the new 30's! not quite the 20's....but definately the 30's

I don't feel like I'm 40 at all...and still very active and dating someone who is 35 :)

I'm 41,and people tells me i look like I'm in my 30's.When I was in my 20's,nobody would believe my age,kept saying I looked like I was only a teenager.Was getting ID everywhere I went.So I guess It was because I always took care of my body.:)
