Semen or seminal fluid is an organic bioliquid transmission medium for carrying spermatozoa from the male of a species to the female through sexual congress and is discharged during ejacualtion. It also may also contain other material such as membrane proteins and prostasomes.
Exctoplasm on the other hand is a 'hoax' material emmitted by mediums or ghosts when they manifest themselves. Led by a person known as a medium séances (from the french for seated) became very popular around and after the end of World War One amongst those grieveing for dead loved ones and desperate to have one last conversation.
The mediums would fake a trance and eject 'ectoplasm' (usually shredded silk or similar from their mouth) when they were 'overtaken' by somebody from the spirit world.
Perhaps the greatest single difference therefore is that semem is always best ejacualted in love whereas the ejaculation of ectoplasm is virtually always an act of preying upon anothers vulnerability

Secondly - I think you mean ectoplasm
Thirdly - why on earth would you want to know?
I think the best way is by the fact that semen exists, and I sincerely doubt that ectoplasm does! So the one that isn't there, at all, is the ectoplasm!

ectoplasm is when you masturbate. since no one is there its like being with a ghost. there ectoplasm all over my pillows stacked together. semen are the guys in a submarine and on ships. i bet there is a lot of ectoplasm on a sub floor.
