Just general ball dribbling is best, dont try to stick to any sort of rigid routine! just get the ball at your feet and do whatever feels natural at the time! This way you will improve your touch and speed with control but you will also improve your ability to improvise with the ball!! you can then apply this to your game with the regulation ball and either use your improved touch to get flashy or help with the quick breaks and tight situations on the pitch! improvisation is one of the most invaluable skills a soccer player can have!
