why are you putting vaseline on your face? There are better products out there. Try Paula's choice, you can find it on the internet on paulaschoice.com, its an inexpensive proffessional product. I love it...She has great facial moisturizers.

Vaseline is very viscous (sp), meaning thick or dense, your skin may be reacting to a lack of air and begin to perspire. This would create a tiny layer of moisture under the vaseline and cause the sensation of ichy.

Vaseline is a very heavy substance for skin. Its great for protecting skin from bad weather like cold winds or heavy rain/snow etc., but really isn't recommended for everyday use as a moisturiser (which is, I assume, how you've been using it).

It sounds to me as though your skin is having a negative reaction to it and my advice would be to stop using it.

If you need to find an alternative, why not pop into your local Chemist and ask their advice - remembering to tell them how much you want to spend, as the price range can go sky high!

Seriously why do you put vaseline on your face? For real what are the benefits of that, never heard it before? Sorry don't have an answer to your question, but I found this interesting.
