A resident is interviewved and the first thing out of their mouth is,"I never thought this could happen around here".Are people ever going to realize that wherever you have people,you're going to have problems?

Some people tend to think if they live in the right city, in the right neighborhood, in the right part of town they will be exempt and safe from crime. Most of the time these are the paranoid overreactors who then persecute the people who don't look as they do, as criminals. Example: A young man/woman with tattoos and piercings, wearing all black, rather goth style walks through a upper middle class neighborhood. I guarantee the police will drive by to see what is up, when in fact these "kids" have probably never broken a single law, they are just trying to figure out who they are in a world where we are judged by what we wear and how we look. Sorry, soapbox....You started it though. LOL Thanks for the opportunity to vent.
