it's probably a turkey. Brown,reddish or black feathers, walks with head high (long neck). Sometimes in small flocks. They definitely look like peacocks in shape, but not coloration. If they were "strutting" you would see the back feathers out like peacocks do when they're attracting a mate.

P.S.- They aren't birds of prey. They also wouldn't be in the water. If it was in the water, you may be thinking of a crane or heron (those kinds of birds have really long legs, turkeys have shorter legs). They are fishing birds, but not considered "birds of prey".

there are eagle,owls and hawks in that area and they are birds of prey. also the breed is called peafowl not peacocks
