My husband and I 'chase' tornadoes every spring. WHAT A RUSH!!! There is nothing like it. There is danger at every turn. But, if you go, be prepared. Radio, wireless Internet, even a TV that plugs into your car. You will need all these, and a lot of luck, if you are going to spot a tornado and get home safely.

Last week I was going through Buffalo NY when a tornado hit. Traffic was backed up for miles because a semi had been overturned by it. After seeing that I was counting my lucky stars to be alive let alone have the desire to chase one.

I told my husband the other day that we should be tornado chasers. I grew up in "Tornado Alley" and it would be easy. I would be in it to make extra money by loading up sightseers so they would be in amazement at such a specticle.

I would not be one. Even though the ones who actually follow and study tornado's provide us with information. I could not see myself 50 feet from a tornado trying to figure out why it snatched this house and not the one next to it. Would be too busy trying to find shelter.

Absolutely! Besides the thrill, the chase of the unpredictable and the spectacular view, it helps weather forcasters understand and learn, also. This daredevil feat seems selfish sometimes, but can lead to saving many lives.
