Are you looking for a country as answer or a religieus group.

Being a r.k. born and raised christian I wuld have to admit the r.k. people fully meet with the discription clannish, only looking after people of their own kind, hostile to strangers (and any one that differs even only slightly from their narrow minded ideas, taste and life style)

So, my answer would be the roman catholic christians.
