I find it apprehensible that member of an islamic gov't kidnapped an innocent man and shot him in the head point blank. I find it reprehensible that muslims captured two soliders and mutilated their bodies (I guess the Geneva Convention only goes one way). I find it reprehensible that muslims found it fit to kill, maim, and burn because of some cartoons. Excuse me sir, I find ISLAM REPREHENSIBLE.

LOL. 13 percent were WILLING to answer in the assertive that they believe islamic killers are martyrs. I would be willing to bet that there is at least another 10 percent that agrees with them, but chose to answer in the negative. That's how it is with these type's of poll questions. A good chunk will lie. So, with 25% of them agreeing that their killers are heroes and went to heaven, me thinks that is enough to condem Islam until it reforms.

I find this statement reprehensible. I know many Islamic people are very disturbed by the image of their faith in light of these acts, but are more disturbed by how the predominantly Christian or secular governments of the world treat their nations. While I do not condone the actions of terrorists, I think the world would be much more successful in dealing with them if we took away their reasons for being able to recruit new members. That is, we need to stop inflicting hatred upon peoples who have done nothing to warrant it, and limit the use of violence in the fight on terrorism.

I know this sounds naive, but in fighting common thugs and criminals with soldiers and military force, we give them a legitimacy in the eyes of many Islamic faithful, whereas no one venerates a common criminal.

Once again. Islam is a religion of peace. That's why they are so easily dominated by "Muslim" extremists. The extremist are nothing more than wolves in sheep's clothing. Then there fangs come out and devour the power with in the region.
The extremist population with in Islam is a mere 1 %. Granted 1% of 1 billion is 1 million people. But we can't throw the baby ouit with the bath water. When democracy reigns in the Middle East the 99% of the Muslim population will have a voice.

It is a sin to murder in Islam, except if you do it for self defense or as a punishment for a crime, just like in Christianity and in secular states as in the United States.
If Muslims were enemies, they would have attacked the Western world a thousand years ago, but they never did. Actually, it was us who attacked them (crusades, Spain... etc.)

I repeat, it's a sin in Islam to kill. You can't even kill an animal without asking God's approval.

Using your numbers, that means 87% of British Muslims don't believe the terrorist attackers should be regarded as martyrs. That means only a small minority (13%) are truly fanatics. True, it is a very dangerous minority, but let's not condemn all the rest who are peace-loving people.

"Islam" means submission. (Not "peace", as some claim; that's "salaam".) Submission means everyone must become submissive to Allah, i.e. everyone must become submissive to Sharia (Islamic law), which works out to we must have an Islamic state and all must become submissive to it, including non-Muslims -- by force, if necessary.

Islam is a dangerous religion. It has never proven itself peaceful.
