What happened to the great upbringing young boys use to have? Young boys were taught how to be a man, (including a gentlemen). Boys were made to be men who opened doors for a lady. Men who gave their seats for a lady. Men who wouldn't use vulgar language around a lady.
Men use to have a great pride. A man could be counted on to provide for his wife and children. Rich or poor, easy or hard, a man provided without excuse. A man couldn't look in the mirror unless he provided. Men use to risk their lives to protect a women. If he heard a scream, he was there. Big or small, strong or weak, he was there.
Men use to love to be a part of their childrens' lives. They were the fathers children could remember being told stories on the lap of. They were the fathers who were around to give a good spanking when needed. They were the fathers who taught their children the knowledge their fathers taught them.
Will all real men please stand up?!

Some of us are still around, My Boys are very Polite around others and will hold doors for people. I am very much part of my Kids Lives too! I Try My Hardest to Instill all of the most Important things I learned from my Mom and Dad. They know right from wrong. I'm sorry you Have not met more Real Men Like Myself.
If You met my kids, you would know that they have been taught right. I have always provided for my Family. When we Neede to buy a Home I even Worked Three Jobs to get the Money to do it. My Parents made sure there six Kids Grew up Gentlemen and Ladies.

No, I agree with your sentiments and am at home right now with my two daughters. They are finishing breakfast while I check my email and this site. Afterward, we will work on some pre-K exercises with my 5 year old and read books. My wife is at her job at an animal shelter, and then we will spend the day together. I am a teacher, and next year looks to be my best year teaching ever, as my oldest daughter will be going to school with me each day, attending kindergarten while I am teaching in the high school next door. I wish I made more moeny to provide better for my family, but I do what I can and we do not want for food and health, affection and happiness. A trip to Disney would be fun, but we'll get there some day again.

I have stood up all along, I don't need to be told to. I think it is BS that some women have made the choice to date ignorant @$$holes and then blame it on men....oh men are dogs, men are immature. Do you not realize that you are stereotyping men in a way that demeans what real men are doing. Women somewhere along the lines need to take some responsibility in the choices they make as well. I am not saying that the society has breeded some retarded guys here lately, because it has. I am just saying that not all MEN are like that. You are talking about BOYS! Oh, and by the way, My son can stand up too because you can bet that I will raise him to be a real man too.

Well I'm standing up Cat. I'm not a rules kind of guy so I don't know about all that stuff you wrote, beating children isn't my thing and I like my women to able to take care of themselves. A real man will have the strength and confidence to allow a woman to be all she can be, that includes supporting her if she wants to build a career.
Now a real man will take all a woman has to throw at him, and still show her he can take more. A womans energy is wild and powerful like a storm, a mans is straight and true like a sword. rooted in the ground and always dependable.
A real man loves his woman and his children and provides leadership for the family, but does not dictate. He makes decisions based upon what is best for the family and takes notice of and has respect for their feelings and wishes. He is not selfish.

I am that mam with equal rights for women out of control some men are becoming less of men and it is sad we need to be Gentlemen and good providers good obserrvating i wish men would come back

a lot of the problem here is it is getting harder to find a woman that will let men be men
we are getting tired of getting slapped around [feminists]
when women will let us be men {sometimes we need a Little encouragement} us real men do great
so women get organized give us the opportunity and lets see how many real men are out there
