whats the best way to get rid of spiders & stop encouraging them coming to my house, a part from killing them?

i clean the house daily and still i'm removing on average 11 a day :(

If you have spiders, you kill and remove them and more spiders come in , then you have insects of some kind that are attracting the spiders. Spiders do not live in a place that does not have a good food supply for them to eat!!

OK :( I can under stand that face for sure. I have used Osage Orange. They are grown on trees in PA at least. I don't know where you live but they work well. I take and place them in the attic, around the foundation even. They are not human edible that I know of so keep them away from kids who might think they are. The seem to work well and will not harm the environment or other things. The spiders for some reason hate them and stay away.

That's an infestation. It probably means you have a food source like woodlice owing to a damp place in the house somewhere. Treat this and kill any other prey like insects and the spiders will have nothing to stay for.

the stuff that is used for termite control will rid you house of spiders for about 3 years. bit expensive though

u can buy devises that u plug in and no spiders or creepy crawlys will come into ur house as it sends out silent vibrations which dont harm them but just deter them from entering, most electrical stores sell them

Get used to it. They are everywhere, even in a clean house. Stop killing yourself cleaning and enjoy them as pets.

I don`t think they like cigarette smoke...so take up smoking ! Good for you for not killing them...try taking them a distance from the house as they might be coming right back in. Good luck.

I don't know if this myth has any merit, but I heard that if a spider's web is destroyed more than three times, it will move on.

this may sound stupid but put dryer sheets in the closets an around the air vents in the house, it bothers their nurvis system an they stay away with out hurting them
