Its only a paradox as phrased.

The angular momentum was there all along, so there is nothing to be sorted out experimentally.

As far as I can tell, they're still coming up with the test method so I'd guess no. I'd try e-mailing any physicist at Cal-Tech and wait patiently for an answer.
