I used to be against it for me personally, but now I think at least those animals get to run free before they are killed.

What about sport hunting like when Cheney shot that guy in the face? He wasn't planning to eat the quail, you just buy a few and they hide them and you kill them.

Fishing and Crabbing?

Bow hunting?

Unfortunately as long as americans keep multiplying and immigrants keep comming, there is less room for animals to roam the habitat we continue to take over. I live far in the country and enjoy the wildlife I see roam free. I don't enjoy seeing them left on the sides of roads to anguish in pain after being hit by our cars. I don't "like" hunting but it is a good solution. Hunters are more often than not responsible and their goal is a clean kill. I don't know of any hunters that kill and then leave the animal behind. Those I know use the animals for food. Who knows, one day we may all find ourselves in a position to actually hunt for food.
As far as bow hunting, I don't think it should be allowed. It is more of a jock sport and less of a skill that delivers a suitable kill. It belongs on the field with targets.
Fishing and crabbing?? Lets go!!

For all the tree huggers who think hunting is bad. When was the last time YOU paid money to wild life management? The American hunter is the ONLY reason we have any wild life at all in this country. The taxes and license they buy is what pays for wild life management. Tree huggers don't pay the bills. So the next time you see a hunter, you should thank him. For without him we would have NO wild animals in this country.

For myself personally, I don't like hunting. But I do understand the necessity of it. I would much rather see a beautiful animal such as a deer or elk, killed quickly and humanely, rather than slowly starve to death because their numbers have increased to an amount that the land cannot sustain.
I do however enjoy fishing.

first off hunting is a way of life for many people in this world we kill animals for food all the time as for Cheney thats a canned hunt, anytime your garunteed to bag an animal thats not hunting every one I know, speaking also for myself ,the time spent away in nature far from the daily grind is what I go for whether I get anythying or not the hrill still remains its in our nature. ok let the tree huggers fire away. for your last two questions not sure i go blackpowder/muzzleloaders

i think it goes back to the American society wasting more than they need!
just look at global warning!
society has become greedy, self centered, and to tell you the truth that's why the earth is going to end!
it's like a car if you don't take care of it eventually it will fall apart!
the Indians were very much right about the foreigners that came over and stolen the land right from underneath them! they knew that this was going to happen!!! because they didn't respect the land!

HUMAN'S???
Unfortunately, we eat meat. And we slaughter 100's of thousands of animals everyday just so we can have turkey for Thankgiving, Fish on Friday's, Roast Beef (my personal favorite). So tell me - what's the question???
I just don't think we should be so pissed off when a dog kills a man in self defence when we kill just for the pleasure! What's next!!

i think it says a lot about the inadequacies of the hunters that they think the animal has a "sporting chance" when the hunter has a high performance gun and the animal doesn't

if hunters really want sport they should hunt each other

Are you a PETA person. If so, leave hunters alone. It's a sport they enjoy and it's none of your business. Also, if you have a beef with the Bush administration, you can take it up with them and stop with the Dick Cheny nonsense. It's really getting old.
