Hi there,

This is something I keep going ON AND ON about, but please avoid AVG, Spybot and Adaware. You are completely backing up my argument as AVG's protection is completely flawed - hence you've been infected. People seem to think these programs are great because they're free, but they simply don't realise malware is sailing straight through and infecting their computers.

My recommendation is a program called Prevx1. This is continually proving to detect, protect and remove more virii & malware than any other security vendor - recently being reported as having the most powerful malware removal capabilities of all pc security programs. I recently installed Prevx1 on a friend's computer that already had AVG installed, and Prevx went on to remove over 30 infections AVG had missed...

Prevx are currently offering a Free Trial of their product which will scan your PC and automatically remove all infections free of charge. I strongly recommend you trying this out above all other programs...

Someone somewhere is sitting creating a new virus as we speak unfortunately. The only thing you can do is ensure that your machine has adequate virus and spy ware protection and a good firewall. Make sure your virus protection is updated regularly and run a scan at least once a week on your machine. Some people say to avoid 'dodgy' sites when on the Internet but this does not always help as the best of sites can have a virus sneak in the back door. My parents use the free AVG software and like it. I use Panda and like that. Other than some software being free and some costing, I don't think there is much between them other than personal preference.

Yes what you are doing is right, but because you keep getting it from time to time you may have spyware or something that anti-virus cant detect and thats re-downloading the virus. Or you keep going to the same BAD website that downloads it on your machine. You need to install and run ALL of the following.

The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)
The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (www.spybot.info)
AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (www.spywareblaster.com)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.

These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.

The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

If your anti virus program is not getting rid of it, go to http://www.mcafee.com and download their free trial of anti virus, install and run and it should get it for you. You will also want to run a anti spyware program.

Go to www.download.com, and search up Spybot Search and Destroy, or find Ad-Aware, or another anti-virus or an anti-trojan.
