Stay away from petroleum based products like vaseline, and chap stick, and carmex. They tend to dry lips more, even though they claim to hold in moisture. Go to your health food store and get some lip balm. They will recommend a good one that will actually repair the damage and condition new skin. By using with time it will reverse the condition. Try not to lick or chew on your lips too. Wear a lip gloss that is not flavored (will help) and if you wear lipstick choose one that is not drying. Avon has some good ones, but again stay away from petroleum based products. One more thing, try taking L-Lysine, it's a supplement used to help the skin heal. Good luck

Drink loads of water,
Apply some lip guard or
Some fresh butter or cream.
Do not make use of Lip stick at this point it may take time to heal the chapped lips(becoz of use of lot of chemicals.).
Eat citrus fruits as far as possible.
U can apply coconut oil once in a while.
Don't bite ur lips.
Make use of some vasiline every night before sleep.
Don't lick ur lips it may aggrevate the problem.
Take care my friend, hope this resolves ur problem.

hey if there is no positive results through the measUres given by others here is one simple one. Just have a deep french kiss with Ur partner at regular intervals, say about two times a day and then in a week u will notice that ur lips r becoming dry and puffed up like Angelina Jolie(if u r a female).

I prefer using Carmex when my lips are intensely dry.
Lip balms just don't work for me (just as I need heavier moisturizers for the rest of my body).
Then I realize my dry lips are a sign of dehydration.
Make sure to drink your water too.

I use vaseline all day long and especially right before bed. When waking, your mouth will feel a little weird but after washing your face and brushing your teeth, your lips will feel smooth and kissable.

Try rubbing chicken manure on them. It won't stop the dry lips, but it will keep you from licking them.
