What do you think about the claim that the majority is a bad model?

This was one of the biggest reasons for the bill of rights in America.

Allowing freedom of the press, freedom to own guns, etc is intended to keep the majority from oppressing the minority.

Look at the television ratings for American Idol. It's crap, yet it's one of the highest rated shows. Majority isn't the most informed, rational, or best at anything on its own.

I think its true because looking at the society around you, you see a majority of the population aiding and abetting corruption.

This is the simplest way of analyzing this.
