Sigmund Freud did not discover the unconscious mind, but theorised about it. Everything we think we know about psychology should have the consideration that there is no real way of knowing for certain how the mind works.

Theories vary and depending on who you choose to believe based on their studies and supporting evidence is very much up to you.

I'm not so sure but I think Sigmund Freud is noted for its Id, Ego, and SuperEgo. And theories on human psychology that are about sexuality.
