In all sensitivity to the person in question (who might well be you), i believe the term "petite" is a safer - and less confusing - choice.

It depends......If someone says...give me a minute of your time and you are really really busy, it could be real big.

If your just hanging out and you ask your best friend to tell you what she did last night and she says... "Let me think for a minute" , it could take less then ten seconds. Then it would be quite small.

If your just standing there, and someone comes up to you and says.. Hi! Can I talk to you for a minute? And if that person ends up being the cutest, nicest person in the whole world, and you fall in love with them, well... then that minute could end up being the biggest minute in your life.

It depend on the situation, when you are having fun a minute looks like a second but when trouble strike it looks like a day and half or even more. Otherwise generally its 60 seconds

if you're "only as big as a minute" then you're probably less than 60 inches tall (5 feet).......i've heard that saying all my life, and never understood it, so i made up my own standard for how big a minute is.....60 seconds, so 60 inches.......that's the only measurements i know for minutes

it's big enought to make a difference by saying i love u. minute is also big enought to let someone go or oposite - to make someone stay. a minute is big enough for smelling a flower, holding a hand, giving a hug.. a minute is as big as less bad words were said during those 60seconds.

Just guessing, but if someone said that to me,I'd take it as they were saying I wasn't very big :) So it could be an insult or a compliment, depending on the context of the conversation (I'm sorry that last line was very grown up of me!)

a minute is 1/60th of a degree. how big that is depends on if you are working with latitude or longitude.

other wise, time is reletive: the length of a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you are on.
