Americans, what can you say about Britons...?

...after Britons described Americans as uncaring, divided by class, awash in violent crime, vulgar, preoccupied with money, ignorant of the outside world, racially divided, uncultured and in the most overwhelming result (90 percent of respondents) dominated by big business.

The British have amazing writers and artists raised there. So much talent, so much countryside. I don't much care what the polls have shown. Americans came from Europe too. The idea was a good one, not all of us are uncaring, piggish and ignorant. I would someday love to see Britian and walk it's streets. You guys don't have it so great with the bombings and the unrest with your youth, no different from what we have here. Underneath it all we are more similar than different. Please don't judge American people by our government...contrary to what you have been told, "the people" don't elect the president...the electoral college does. There is nothing fair or honest about our justice system. Thanks for the forum to vent. I especially want to see London.

I dont pay much attention to reports about what large groups of people are saying, cuz its usually propaganda. Who really knows what "britons" think and are saying? Who is authorized to speak on behalf of all Britons? Tony Blair? Did Tony say that? I doubt it. So why should I believe it? So I dont.

People are people. Some like us, and some don't. Thats the way it is and its the way it will be. I think some britons are great and others are crap. So what. I speak on behalf of myself, not all America. Yes, I think for myself and do not claim to speak for the grand masses. I wish everyone would be more like me, and stop pretending to be God.
