I wrote an answer to a question about suicide as a joke and was reported to Yahoo which gave me a violation. No reasonable person could have taken my response seriously.
If they do it again, I am leaving Yahoo. Has anyone had a similar experience? It pissses me off.

Nazis? No.
They're just a bunch of people who sit around computers maintaining and updating a friggin' website. That seems innocent enough to me I guess. I haven't seen a single swastika yet.

If it was meant to be a sarcastic comment, I suppose you should have said "this was sarcastic and don't take it seriously" at the end. Often, it's unclear what people's intentions and what the meaning of their statements are. There are a lot of weird people in the world who are using this site, so they sometimes ask weird questions and give weird answers. Your joke comment may have sounded like a weird answer, so at the end make sure you put that it was not a serious comment. Some people can't tell the difference otherwise; this is especially true in the suicide question, where the often the questioner's judgement is questionable. No one wants to be liable for something bad happening, so I guess that's why Yahoo gave a warning. On the other hand, there are some people who report everything they see just for the sake of it, and that's wrong. We should just report content that is truly bad.

Sorry,it's the first time I hear that.I'm sure Yahoo it's not a bunch of Nazis because we would already know.In your situation,what can I say,you dont know what kind of people are out there and how they will response to every of your jokes.I suggest you should be more careful.

suicide is a serious topic, if some one asks a question about it that is no place to joke.
