"--According to the Wrestling-Observer Newsletter, a highly-ranked UFC official said that the company no longer plans to ignore WWE’s public “challenges.”
While UFC let Angle’s storyline “open challenge” to anyone from a 4-, 6- or 8-sided ring go unaddressed, it will not be doing that in the future. If WWE attempts to put one of its wrestlers over as superior to MMA fighters, it will respond to put public pressure on WWE to make the match happen.
“Now that we have exposure, we’re not going to be ignoring stuff like this. We’ll go public and have Chuck Liddell accept any public challenges or claims they’ll make,” the source said.

That would be awesome, hate to burst all your WWE bubbles but Chuck Liddell would wipe the floor with any WWE Superstar, including the "Wrestling Machine" Kurt Angle.
I'd like to see Liddell whoop Cena's *** just for laughs.

Hey I watch both, but thats one thing i would love to see! i totally believe anyone from the UFC will put the beating on anyone from WWE! Shamrock was in both and he's crazy & i love that about him!

I would pay my life savings to see Cena get his *** kicked by Chuck Liddell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kurt Angle could take him though. Just watch Big Show challenge UFC?! Nobody can take Big Show in real life.

That doesn't make any sense at all... why would WWE, a fake sport (not to say they aren't athletes, but it is still fake) challenging some of the toughest men in the world??? That sounds more like some publicity crap than any real threat of happening. I would assume so anyway.. I would hope so

i saw this yesterday too. ufc will kill wwe. they are real and they don't let their opponet win the match cuz they don't have storylines like wwe. i wanna see iceman break cena's face with a leg kick. that would be so damn funny. wwe is going to make themself look so damn stupid. what the hell are they thinking?
wwe vs mma. mma is real!!!!!! any mma fighter will beat the hell out of wwe stars. hahaha.lol!
i also wanna see matt huges ground and pound cena's face then the ref big jon gotta stop the match. hahahahaha. lol.

I think that UFC and WWE have been trading for a while...nice open challenges...look at Ken Shamrock going to WWE back in 1997...I think we could see some coming soon...
