That's great, I say go for it. I did my yoga teacher training last year and have continued to take advanced courses since then.

First you have to decide what style of yoga you want to be certified in. You can check Yoga Journal magazine for their listings of teacher trainings or their website to see their directory:

http://www.yogajournal.com/directory/browse_a.cfm

I have been practicing yoga for a couple of years now, but only decided to teach this year, and I love it because my job is my passion, and I get to share this to others through my teaching.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to send me a message and tell you more about yoga teacher training.

Different states and countries have different requirements-- even different studios in the same city will have different requirements. I know in the USA most studios will want you to be certified through a school at the 200 hour level before you start teaching. The Temple of Kriya Yoga offers a long distance yoga teacher training. Try checking out their web site for more info-- www.yogakriya.org.

Namaste!

Hey there,
Yoga can be a great friend in every diet. It's all about hormones balance. There are no "bad" hormones. But when hormones get unbalanced, bad things happen in your body. Your body releases cortisol when you're under stress. It's part of the whole “fight or flight” response. Increased cortisol levels could be making you fat. The kind of fat you are most likely to store from elevated cortisol is called visceral fat — the dangerous belly fat that’s linked to diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.

I'm following this great online program that teaches how to use YOGA to lose weight. You should check it out as well. This is the link of the site: http://yogafitness.toptips.org
