I doubt this list will be complete. The computer: constructive work and efficiency; destructive waste of some peoples time and loss of mental challenges for some.
The automobile: saves time and money to travel large distances, saves lives by avoiding danger; also creates much waste regarding physical supplies and energy with a negative impact on the environment and loss of life.
Exposives help regarding construction work; they are also great for destroying things.
