I think many things can push a woman to abortion. Such as feeling overwhelmed, well intentioned friends who are misguided, and the fact that we have lost all respect for all human life. Many women who have had abortions face mental and emotional problems. The rate of suicide and depression are much higher for these women. I say abortion creates at least 2 victims. Mother and child and sometimes more. Many women have no idea about this until they later hold a child in their arms and realize what they have done. Pro life clinics and organizations try to help these grieving women.

A woman who has an abortion is a slave of her selfish needs.
Of course she doesn't have mental problems. Far-right kooks like you who make abortion a political and not a personal issue are the people who should be placed in insane asylums.

Their are several factors but the most common is that they are not financially, emotionally ready to become mothers and the society is putting a pressure on them which is 'raising eyebrows ' on unexpected pregnancy. Their fear of rejection from the society-their friends, family... It's not about mental problems but the psychological aspect.

What about if the woman was raped?Or the mother's health was in danger?There are many reasons women go through with an abortion.

It's usually because she's too young, or simply not ready to have kids. It's certainly smarter to get an abortion than to drop out of school to look after a kid. Would you abandon your education because of one drunken mistake? Would you force your daughter to give up her dreams and become a mother?

We could not say that she is insane who kills her inborn child, because there could be so many compulsions for committing such inhuman crimes as social constraints. So she is compelled to do such things which otherwise she couldn't. Thus it is rarely a case of mental problem.
