There is not really a way to speed the process up. You have to have patience, unfortunately. The only other option is to take birth control so you can better predict when it is coming; however, your timing has to be right and you need to be under a doctor's care for it.

You can try tampons if you are comfortable doing that. They allow you to swim and exercise without the bulkiness of pads. Good luck!

Alright, being a guy and knowing an alternative is bad, but I think that I can help. You cant stop it, but you can skip it only if your on birth control. Its ok to do every once and a while but be careful not to do it too often. To skip a period: instead of stopping the pill for that week, just keep taking it. This will skip an entire month and there may be some spotting. PS I had to look this up for my girlfriend for when she came to visit me and it worked and she is ok.

The date has passed, but if this situation ever comes up again, you should know that you have no reason to be nervous. When the female body is in the process of its menstral cycle, it becomes sensitive to water. When a female sets foot in water, the menstral cycle stops completely and starts again when you get out of the water. You would even have to wear a tampon if you didn't wish to do so. You wouldn't cloud the water with redness, I assure you. In addition, if you're worried about water-weight gain and other such problems, take a Midol. It's the best

Sorry, just saw your question today. So you have obviously already gone to Lake George. Next time you have a problem like this, talk to your ob/gyn a couple of months in advance and get your period re-arranged.

EMAIL.. Ahh why dont you just get it from this website the answers which other girls are asking. .put period in the search bar.. and they all related are there. lol.., and you cant control your period.make sure you bring tampons/pads... be prepared..., If you have a irregular period.., I am from that exsperience. i dont have it on one date every month its all over the place. so what i do is.., take them with me.. around the times i usually have it so im prepared. and in the end i feel confident and feeling better.
If you get it.. when your at the lake.. Just use tampons.

Unfortuntily you can't control when it comes ...which sucks...but try and remember when you last had it. Count 28 days from the day you last started and that will tell you when you will start your period again. From now on, mark on your calander when you start (just write a P) then you can always keep track and plan vacations around it

First of all you can't make your period come sooner than you'd like. Only your bodie decides when it's ready. Second of all don't be nervous, nervousness and stress can affect your period and make it take a lot longerfor it to come and then thats when you're really heavy.

I would have suggested you get on the birth control pill and skip the "placebo" pills for that weekend. It's the only way to stop your period temporarily.

if your taking birth control pills you can keep taking the active pills instead of the inactive pills, and that will keep your period from coming. i think seasonale works that way. but dont do it as a habit. PS dont stress out that just makes it come on sooner!
