When I do my artwork, I start with a regular #2 pencil to work the general shapes out and then I go back with pen and ink to go over the lines I like best.
Really, which you use depends on the effect you want. I've used pencils to produce finished work I want to be shaded and varied and nuanced. I use pen to create strong, bold lines that can easily be scanned into a graphics program for further digital coloring or manipulation. Work with both, get a feel for the media, and choose what suits you, your mood, and the desired final product best.

I use a pencil when preparing the drawing and then use a pen for the finished work. If I make mistakes I tend to stick a label over the offending part and then draw over it. Years ago I used to use Rotring pens to correct small mistakes but nowadays I use the PC to tidy up the pictures.

With Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery guide you'll got that named Training Mind Maps and each of this lesson comes with what are called “Process” or “Mind” maps. These are primarily outline summaries of that which was protected in each of the lessons.

Hey there,
If you want to learn how to draw realistic pencil portraits I strongly recommend this site http://pencilportraits.toptips.org
I have bought their course because I wanted to be able to draw realistic portraits and I felt that I did not have the skills to produce a beautiful realistic portrait.
This course has been a great help, although I still need loads of practice I feel that I have learned so much through following this course in techniques and observation. The lessons are so easy to follow especially with the aid of the process maps which show which steps to tackle next.
Bye Bye

That really depends on what look you are going for.
Some art is better in pen, while other art is great in pencil.
Define the style you wish to pursue and then decide which one you prefer best.

Either because sometime using both pen and pencil can add real detail in your drawing. Making them look more idealist.

Hi
I think drawing with pencil is best because if you make a mistake is easy to rubb it by rubber but with pen not thank you
