An interesting concept. If affection (or sexual pleasure) was used in lieu of specie, it might make certain jobs very popular. Cashiers for example. Bank tellers would be very busy cashing checks. There would be a lot of competition for certain government positions, such as tax collectors.

There would have to be some concessions made for the underaged, for the elderly and infirm, and for those who were medically tested and proven to have aids.

Come to think of it, we could require everybody to be universally tested, that way, couldn't we...? And then restrict everybody who had the disease, until the disease died out. That's how they handled other outbreaks of dangerous diseases in the past. I don't see why aids should be treated any differently.

Using sex in lieu of specie could also lead to runaway erection-- I mean, inflation. You could 'issue' as much money as you had stamina to do. Condom sales would go up. I think the black market would disappear.

There would no longer be any foolishness about needing to use the correct change.

And don't forget to tip your waiter, cabbie, busboy, concierge, doorman, paperboy, milkman, elevator operator, parking lot/ restroom attendant...!

You could if both sides agreed to it. If you trade with anything but money, it's called bartering. My Dad got a fishing boat in exchange for designing a sports store one time. It's just that money has a set, recognized value. How much is love worth?
